Q. My age is 28 years. Since after my delivery, I have been suffering from hair problems. My hair has been falling at a very high rate. My hair is dry. Please help as my scalp has started to be visible now.

A. We know that hair fall is a common fact in some cases after childbirth. First you should take sufficient rest and eat healthy died. Add different fruits specially fruits containing vitamin C to your daily diet. Massage your scalp with sesame seed oil thrice a week and also nourish your scalp with the following excellent hair pack.Take 1 tsp.each of  amla powder, shikakai powder, reetha powder, methi powder and 2 tsp. of curd and whip all these ingredients together. Apply it to your scalp and leave it for 1 hour. Wash off with an herbal shampoo.

 Q. I am a 37 years old woman. I have an oily T-zone. I am suffering from whiteheads on my nose. Could you please tell me some natural remedies so that I can get rid of such troublesome whiteheads ?

A. If you scrub regularly whiteheads will disappear. Regular scrubbing also clears your skin. As a natural remedy for this purpose take 2 tsp. of green gram powder, 1 tsp. Fuller’s Earth,   1 tsp. rice powder and rose water. Mix them well. Apply it on your face and leave on for 10 minutes. Now scrub off the mask gently. Wash your face with cold water.

     Obesity is a physical state that causes constant mental anxiety. People with obesity are not beautiful. If a person gains too much weight and become fatty, where can we find his/her beauty? Obesity makes us ugly. It also affects a person’s efficiency and prevents him/her from participating in many activities. Obesity also causes psychological disorders.
   Women have more body fat than man. In woman, the fat usually accumulates around the hips giving them a pear shape. In man it accumulates around the belly giving them an apple shape. The obesity related problems start when fat accumulates around the waist.
      Factors related to obesity are of many types.
   Primarily the disorder in thyroid or pituitary glands are responsible for obesity. If no particular disorder of the endocrine gland is found in a fat person, the reason could be a wrong type of diet and the desire to eat plenty of food. Genetic factors also play a very vital role in obesity or over weight. It tends to run in families. If parents are fat then the offspring also show a tendency to accumulate fat.

     A person’s eating habits and their level of physical activities can also contribute to an excess deposition of fat. A life of ease and luxury is an important factor in obesity.
    Psychological factors like boredom, sadness and other negative emotions are also responsible for obesity. 
   Persons willing to achieve beauty and good health should strictly adhere to the following guidelines.

       Physical exertion i.e. doing house work, walking to bring groceries, vegetables etc, walking long distances, walking to work, climbing stairs.

  Consuming wheat products more than rice products helps to reduce obesity.

     Sleeping for fewer hours. Avoiding sleeping in afternoon helps to increase the burning of calories.

    Having sex frequently is also good physical output.

    Eating less and being more active helps in losing weight.

    Drink a glass of water mixed with lemon juice and drink in the morning every day.

    Eat a small piece of ginger with honey everyday in the morning.

  Exercise like brisk walking, jogging, and playing outdoor games etc. help to reduce weight.

     For basic nutritional needs eat a variety of foods every day.

     Try to cut down on foods containing high fats and sugar.

Obesity or overweight don’t only destroy our beauty but also it causes severe diseases like high blood pressure, heart disease, infertility, cancer, gout and osteoarthritis.

Q:   I am a-18-year-old girl. My complexion is pale. Could you please suggest some remedies that would make my face look pink, healthy and bright ? 
          A:   For attaining pink, healthy and bright face or skin, keep constipation at bay. Drink plenty of water daily. Eat 3 to 4 fruits daily. Add fresh and  green vegetables to your daily diet. Practice yoga or any kind of exercise daily for at least 30 minutes. Try to sleep at least 8 hours at night.Try to be optimistic in your life. Consume raw turmeric in an empty stomach daily in the morning. Discipline and perseverance will definitely bring desired result to you soon.

         Q:   I am a-40-year old man. My skin is very oily and I suffer from pimples. Would you please let me know a face pack for removing my pimples?
         A:   You should try to improve your digestive system first. Eat fresh fruits and vegetables. Drink at least 10 glasses of water daily. Avoid oily foods,  fast foods, fried foods and preserved foods. Avoid use of cold cream, oil and other cosmetics on your face. Use the following homemade remedy for your pimples.  Take 1 tsp Fuller’s Earth, ½ tsp neem paste, ½ tsp sandal wood powder, 1 pinch of camphor and rose water. Mix these very well. Apply it on your face especially on the affected areas of your face.
Leave it for 20 minutes. Wash it off with cold water. This excellent face pack will reduce your pimples. If you have constipation try to cure it soon.
